Mixing it up was a residency at The Garage in Bristol from 1 -19 June 2021 with Helen Acklam (a painter), Alice Freeman (another sculptor) and Alice Smith (a dancer).
Unfortunately Alice Smith had Covid during the residency so had to work remotely for most of the time. We still managed to share our work with others on the last weekend for a final show. In the time that she was in the space, Alice interacted with our work in various ways and produced a showreel. I loved seeing her interact with my Body cocoons!

I was thinking about the surface area of the skin of an average human being 2 square metres. One of my favourite outcomes was an animation using a stitched canvas body, a 2 square m piece of canvas and a staple gun. I called it My Frankenstein's monster:
