23 Sept - 27 Nov 2022

I was thrilled to have my knitted installation, Red is the colour of...., selected for New Contemporaries 2022. I was one of 47 selected emerging and early career artists. The exhibition was across two galleries in Hull - Ferens and Humber Street. My work was installed at Humber Street Gallery.

The exhibition then toured to South London Gallery in Peckham, London.

Here I am talking about my work at the South London Gallery:

Review in Art Monthly magazine:

‘The skill and care in the finish of Lou Baker's sculptural knitted installation elevates the suspended clots that unravel as they ooze towards the floor, indicating an entropy beyond human comprehension that flows through the exhibition.’
